La Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) aurait-elle vraiment dépensée £7,500,000 soit environ Rs 386 millions pour obtenir quelques minutes de publicité? Selon le «sponsorship agreement» ci-dessous, le Liverpool FC réclame qu’une somme de £1,500,000 soit versée au club dès la signature de l’accord de parrainage. Selon le document, l’accord a été signé le 11 Juin 2020 – une opération que beaucoup qualifie de «sous-tapis».
Voici un extrait de la section 4 du document où le Liverpool FC explique les modalités de paiements, ainsi que l’intégralité du document qui s’étend sur 37 pages.
4.1 In consideration of the Sponsorship Rights granted in the Territory and on the terms of this Agreement, the Sponsor shall pay the Club the sponsorship Rights Fee as follows:
4.1.1 the sum of one million five hundred thousand pounds sterling (£1,500,000) which shall be paid on signature of this agreement;
4.1.2 the sum of two million five hundred thousand pounds sterling (£2,500,000) which shall be paid on or before 1 August 2021;
4.1.3 the sum of three million five hundred thousand pounds sterling (£3,500,000) which shall be paid on or before 1 August 2022.
